Walk Along River Axe

I took a walk along the River Axe at Uphill today. The tide was half way out – as opposed to half way in, that is. The water was calm and the silt settled. Despite being Winter here in the UK the air was brisk and cold though the sun was shining with blue skies and no cloud. I took both my Nikons – D80D7000 – with me though, due to the low sun, and, I guess, a certain level of air quality[pollution?], photographing today came with a soft-blur and wavelength bloom that even filters didn’t seem to resolve properly.
Hey ho… never the less one perseveres!

The water in the estuary is normally a kind of brownish colour, depending on how much silt is in suspension, though, as can be seen in the photo above, the light reflecting off the surface of the water has made the river seemingly blue today.
Oh…and I wonder if the owner of that boat is an ‘Apple’ fan?
