Ordsall Chord over the River Irwell

Castlefield Curve or ‘Ordsall Chord’ spans the River Irwell at this point and appears almost as if an upside down fork or spoon had been laid from bank to bank. We can also see from the picture construction work continues a pace on the regeneration of this area, with many apartment buildings – both completed and some still in progress . By now of course the picture would already show a different story. The reflection of the bridge in the glassy water is very effective and pleasing too.
